David Ackert
is the president of The Ackert Advisory, a business development coaching firm established in the late 90s. David has personally developed and implemented client development programs for hundreds of law firms, from regional boutiques to some of the top Am Law 100s. He is the founder of Practice Boomers®, a distance learning program that teaches business development to lawyers.
 
David’s business development programs have garnered press from such publications as the LA Times, The National Review, the Los Angeles Business Journal, The Wall Street Journal, and the Daily Journal. He has been quoted in several trade publications and business books. He has spoken at ABA and State Bar conferences, participated on panels and been the keynote speaker at numerous conferences on the topic of business development. He teaches strategic planning and marketing courses through UCLA Extension and is a guest lecturer at USC Marshall School of Business.
 
He serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Voices in Harmony, a non-profit arts/mentoring organization he co-founded in 1995 that provides extra-curricular and classroom programs for at-risk teens around the world. He was one of the nine people awarded as a “Difference Maker” from Ithaca College in its recognition of alumni who have made a meaningful impact through community service initiatives. In addition to Ithaca College, David holds degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and USM.


Jill Weber
is Chief Business Development Officer for Stinson Leonard, Street, where she is responsible for creating and executing marketing and business development strategies, including Fast Forward®, a nationally recognized integrated business development initiative. Leonard, Street and Deinard is ranked #8 on The MLF 50: The Top Law Firms in Marketing and Communications and is the only non-AmLaw 200 firm to appear on the list for eight consecutive years. Jill was recognized as a 2009 "Unsung Legal Hero" by Minnesota Lawyer and received the 2007 EXCEL Minnesota Award, sponsored by the Minnesota Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators, recognizing a C-level executive whose vision and leadership demonstrates a commitment to business communication. Jill serves on the 2014-2015 Legal Marketing Association International Board of Directors, and was co-chair of the 2012 Legal Marketing Association's Annual Conference.

Adam Stock is Chief Marketing and Client Services Officer at Allen Matkins. He brings his passion of marketing and technology to helping law firms doing a better job providing value to their clients. Before joining the legal profession, Adam hired outside law firms as a high technology executive for Adobe Systems, Electronics for Imaging, Inc., and several start-up companies undefined two of which went public. Sales and Marketing Management Magazine named Mr. Stock a “Sales & Marketing Pioneer” and “Motivator of the Year” for his work in implementing sales systems in the legal industry.
 
He is frequent speaker on law firm sales, technology and video. Adam is ont eh LMA Interantional Board and is the Past President of the LMA – Bay Area Chapter. He is a Board Member of the Legal Sales and Service Organization (LSSO), an educational and networking organization for legal sales and service professionals. He is also a co-founder of the Personal Broadband Industry Organization (PBIA), a marketing and lobbying organization in the telecommunications industry. He received his BS in computer science from Yale University

Craig A. Brown, Law Firm Business Development Consultant with LawVision Group. Craig works with attorneys law firms, managing partners, executives and business leaders nationwide as an event speaker, consultant, trainer and coach. He helps his clients build business by reconnecting to their core strengths.

By helping people pattern their lives around their natural skills and style, Craig guides professionals in building and sustaining meaningful careers. His own business development achievements include launching an initiative from start-up to 80 percent of market share in under four years, building a 100-million-dollar revenue pipeline,  increasing revenues by 300 percent within the first year of an engagement and founding the Motivera Group. During his time at Thomson West, he was honored as “Consultant of the Year” for three consecutive years.

Craig has more than two decades of experience as an attorney, executive, sales manager and consultant for global publishers, high-tech start-ups, securities investment firms and major law firms.  After several years of practice as a California-based litigation attorney, he switched his professional focus to increasing law firm profitability.
